We are looking for a Buisness Development Representative, Consultant & Broker Channels (BDR, Consultant & Broker) to join our sales team. The Business Development Representative, Consultant & Broker Channels is responsible for expanding and strengthening the organization's presence within the healthcare consultant and broker ecosystem. This role will focus on developing relationships with national and regional consulting and brokerage firms, identifying key stakeholders and influencers, generating awareness of the organization's solutions, and nurturing prospective opportunities that can lead to new business and channel partnerships. The BDR will execute strategic, multi-channel outreach to consultant and broker organizations across the country through personalized email, phone, social selling, industry networking, and other targeted engagement strategies. The individual will conduct research to understand each firm's areas of influence, client base, priorities, and market position, using these insights to develop relevant and compelling engagement strategies. Working directly with the SVP, Channel Partnerships, this role will serve as a critical engine for expanding the consultant and broker channel pipeline. The BDR will maintain consistent engagement with prospective partners, coordinate meetings and introductions, track relationship progression, and ensure promising opportunities are appropriately qualified and advanced within the channel partnership process. What You’ll Do

Consultant and Broker Relationship Development
- Build and maintain a strong network of relationships with healthcare consultants, brokers, advisors, and other influential industry stakeholders.
- Identify and engage key decision-makers, influencers, and relationship owners within national and regional consulting and brokerage firms.
- Establish the organization as a trusted and knowledgeable resource within the consultant and broker community.
- Develop relationships over time through consistent, thoughtful, and value-added engagement.

Strategic Outreach and Business Development
- Develop and execute targeted outbound campaigns to consultant and broker organizations through email, phone, LinkedIn/social selling, events, networking, and other channels.
- Research target firms, their areas of specialization, client portfolios, market priorities, and key stakeholders to create highly personalized outreach strategies.
- Generate new conversations and qualified opportunities that align with the organization's growth and channel partnership objectives.
- Leverage industry events, conferences, webinars, and other networking opportunities to expand the organization's consultant and broker relationships.

Opportunity Identification and Nurturing
- Identify emerging opportunities within consultant and broker organizations and proactively nurture relationships through the sales cycle.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects that are not yet sales-ready, keeping the organization top-of-mind for future client opportunities.
- Understand consultant and broker influence within prospective accounts and identify opportunities where channel relationships can accelerate growth.
- Coordinate introductions and discovery meetings between consultants/brokers and the appropriate internal sales or channel partnership leaders.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of relationship activity, opportunities, next steps, and pipeline progression within CRM systems.

Channel Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective consultant and broker relationships and opportunities.
- Partner closely with the SVP, Channel Partnerships to prioritize target firms, develop account strategies, and determine appropriate engagement approaches.
- Provide regular reporting on outreach activity, relationship development, pipeline progression, and emerging market opportunities.
- Identify trends, competitive dynamics, and market intelligence gathered through consultant and broker interactions and communicate relevant insights to leadership.

Internal Collaboration
- Collaborate with Channel Partnerships, Sales, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to ensure coordinated engagement with consultant and broker partners.
- Support preparation for consultant/broker meetings, presentations, industry events, and partnership discussions.
- Help develop and refine messaging, materials, and engagement strategies designed specifically for the consultant and broker audience.
- Support broader channel partnership initiatives and strategic growth priorities as directed by the SVP, Channel Partnerships.

Performance & Results
- Consistently achieve activity, relationship-development, qualified-opportunity, and pipeline-generation objectives.
- Demonstrate disciplined follow-through and accountability in managing a large portfolio of prospective relationships.
- Continuously test and refine outreach strategies to improve engagement, conversion, and channel pipeline performance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
About You
- 2 - 5+ years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, benefits, consulting, brokerage, business development, sales, or partnerships.
- Experience working with or selling through healthcare consultants, benefits consultants, brokers, or other channel partners strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with senior stakeholders and build credibility within complex organizations.
- Strong prospecting and business development skills, including experience with email, phone, LinkedIn/social selling, networking, and other outbound strategies.
- Highly proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable independently managing a large portfolio of relationships and prospects.
- Strong research and business acumen with the ability to understand an organization's business model, priorities, and key stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships and opportunities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where opportunities may develop over an extended period.
- Goal-oriented and results-driven, with a strong commitment to building sustainable relationships rather than simply generating transactional leads.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a mission-driven environment.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms preferred.

Compensation
At Talkspace, we believe that pay transparency during the interview process is a critical part of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our salary bands are based on internal and external compensation benchmarks, which we regularly evaluate to ensure we pay competitively.
The base salary range for this role is between $67,000 - $95,000. Within the salary bands, leveling corresponds to each candidate’s relevant experience, skills as assessed during the interview process, education, and applicable certifications.
